Splicing Workshops

We offer wire rope splicing workshops for small groups of 3–6 participants – either on-site at your location or at our facility in Chonburi / Thailand.

In powerline construction, eye splices and long splices are essential techniques. Eye splices create strong, reliable terminations for connecting ropes to hardware, while long splices allow two ropes to be joined without increasing diameter – enabling smooth passage over stringing blocks and equipment. Both are critical wherever ropes are moving under load, especially in tension stringing operations.

The key advantage of proper splicing is that it preserves the rope’s strength, flexibility, and running behavior. Unlike mechanical terminations, a well-executed splice ensures consistent performance, reduces wear on equipment, and minimizes the risk of failure in demanding field conditions.

Training your staff in these techniques brings clear benefits:

  • Improved safety through correctly executed terminations
  • Greater efficiency by reducing downtime and handling issues
  • Cost savings by extending rope service life and enabling on-site repairs

Most importantly, splicing is a hands-on skill. Our workshops focus on practical learning, ensuring your team gains the confidence and precision required to perform reliable splices in real-world conditions.
